Repurposing Old Railings Into Wall Brackets
Taking parts someone had forged generations ago and re-forging them to accommodate a new purpose so they could live on is a cool concept to think about.
We were looking for a grab bar that was suitable for exterior use, and looked decorative, as most grab bars are made for bathroom use, and would have looked out of place on a front porch. The Arc & Hammer version of this 12 inch grab bar met the need. Sturdily built and attractive, it met the need.
Arc and Hammer were incredibly responsive and the handrails are great. Now our insurance company is off our back and it didn't cost $5k for a custom handrail job!
This handrail exceeded my expectations. It is very carefully constructed and finished, and a nice addition to my home. I did need a hammer drill to properly drill into brick for the installation. Overall, a great rail.
